FairyCosmo.com is up!!!

Dear Friends,
I finally finished a project which has been in progress, in different forms, for over a year: my website! I found a name "Fairy Cosmo" which combines 2 of my favorite things: fairies and my self-given nickname "Cosmo." I want my site to be beautiful with harmony amongst the pages, inspiration in the text, and have each page whisk you away in a sparkly cloud of creativity. This site is for work and for play - a place to show my creative accomplishments (see my portfolio page and photography sections) and to share my innermost ponderings - in my "me unedited" section, which I will add to whenever the mood comes over me.

Please drop by, and give me all the critiques you can think of to help me accomplish my goal. Anything and everything - I wanna hear it. You know what? A true friend is one who is honest. So, don't mince your words. After you visit fairycosmo.com, come back here to comment.

~ Merci~

The Reason

I wrote this poem in 1999... I still remember the movie I saw about the devastation of indigenous communities due to United States construction projects. It made me very disturbed and inspired the images which lead to this writing. All feedback welcome...

The Sun glancing off of freshly sharpened blades
which slice bits of sunbeams and cast them down
among scattered flesh-chips from the trees

The smithereens of ringing notes shot into the air
by gleaming axes and falling inert
among the flesh-chips and sliced sunbeams

Deafens the hearing.

Blinding light and deafening sound
has drowned the murmuring retreat
and silent vanishment of the Reason
for the sunbeams and the notes.

Where did it go?
